704055810f sort input files 
when building packages (e.g. for openSUSE Linux)
(random) filesystem order of input files
influences ordering of functions in the output,
thus without the patch, builds (in disposable VMs) would differ.

f7bd454dd5 Revert "add release flag to makefile.shared" 
This reverts commit 14272976d0615b546e9e0215ec4e2f01854a2dc9.

This is neither a 'package-internal library' nor
one 'whose interfaces change very frequently' so we remove the
release information again from the shared library.
